Hello again everyone, I hope you’re weekend is off to a great start. It’s been a long week for me but God has showed up in so many ways with hope, strength, and patience. I know He is doing the same for anyone that asks.

With that, I wanted to create a bit of a different list today that I thought options traders would appreciate. It’s that one defining characteristic that could break an options strategy before it even begins. That’s right, options market liquidity! Without it you’re better off just staying away but with it the sky is the limit.

So, in this post, I want to review the top 10 stocks with the most options liquidity currently currently available. However, please know I’ve purposely left ETF’s off of this list so that I could include them together in this post; Top 10 ETF’s with the Most Options Liquidity.

Let’s jump into the list.

top 10 stocks with the most options liquidity

Top 10 Stocks with the Most Options Liquidity

1. Apple – AAPL

First on the list, and honestly most on this list, need no introduction. They’re well known across the world for the products and services they provide. However, they’re apparently not only the best electronics provider, they’re also the best options provider. Any strategy, any expiration, or any width strategy is possible with Apple as of today and it’s probably been that way for many years.

2. Amazon – AMZN

As recognizable globally as the previous company is Amazon. Another conglomerate that also has plenty of options liquidity. Thinking about a covered call or maybe a series of broken wing calendar jade lizards? Well, Amazon has more than enough liquidity for any options strategy we can dream up.

3. RobinHood – HOOD

Honestly, I was a bit surprised by this one but I probably shouldn’t be. Many newer, lesser volume, or smaller account traders use RobinHood for trading so I guess it just makes sense to trade that company as well. In any case, HOOD is more than capable of hosting that next options strategy and at a lower share price than Apple or Amazon.

4. Intel – INTC

Yes, you read that right. It seems not everybody has followed the media and given up on Intel. Just based on options liquidity, it seems more than most are expecting an epic comeback. I personally have avoided them for now but at $23 per share just about anybody interested in options can get involved here.

5. Meta – META

Apparently when it comes to options trading being one of the Magnificent 7 Stocks is a big deal. Meta in this instance isn’t the last of those 7 stocks we’ll see on this list. Regardless, if you’re looking for a higher priced stock to trade with plenty of options liquidity then Meta should fit the bill.

6. Nvidia – NVDA

I sorted these top 10 stocks with the most options liquidity in alphabetical order but Nvidia is more than likely first as the most liquid options market. For every expiration into 2027 NVDA has thousands of open contracts. So, if you’re looking for a trading candidate that is as liquid as it gets then NVDA is probably it.

7. Palantir – PLTR

It seems I’ve missed the boat on PLTR as I just never trusted them for any of my own strategies. Still, they’ve put together an epic run over the past 2 years and their options market remains very liquid. Traders across the web have touted Palantir as a preferred candidate for options trading and thus far PLTR has not disappointed.

8. Super Micro Computer – SMCI

Super Micro is trading under $50 dollars today after a meteoric rise from 2023-2024. Recently, their share price spike from below $30 so it seems they aren’t done just yet. I’ve never traded them but if you’ve been watching even slightly you’ll have heard of the SMCI ticker. They also have a robust options market dating well into the future.

9. SOFI Technologies – SOFI

Next up is SOFI and if you’re new to options and just wanting to test the water SOFI might be the stock for you. They’re currently the cheapest stock on this top 10 stocks with the most options liquidity list. Additionally, they also run at a relatively high implied volatility level so premiums can be attractive for a lower priced asset. I’d say trade carefully though.

10. Tesla – TSLA

Last, but certainly not least, is Tesla. Again, this list isn’t sorted by options liquidity because if it was Tesla would probably be higher. Not many days go by when I don’t hear about some options strategy being traded on TSLA. They aren’t a stock I want to hold so I don’t dabble here much but if it’s liquidity you need, you should be fine here.

Final Thoughts

Well, there you have it. The top 10 stocks with the most options liquidity currently available across the stock market. Many of the names are well known and have products we all use on a daily basis. I thought it was funny that the list consisted primarily of the Mag 7 stocks with only Microsoft and Google not making the cut.

In any case, if you’re wanting to trade options and liquidity is a concern (which it should be) then you’ll be happy with these. There isn’t currently a strategy we could concoct that wouldn’t at least be tradeable here.

Until the next post.

God bless,

Jeff
