Hi Jeff…..just found your spreadsheets in a youtube video last night and was blown away by your work. I am a bit apprehensive due to the seeming complexity of it as far as me being able to understand and use it effectively….couple ?’s……I have a win10 desktop. If I buy the oba&jss, will I have everything I need to use it?

Windows and full copy of excel are all you’ll need. If you do need help, I’m always available (almost immediately) at jeff@optionboxer.com.

    Hey there,

Saw your youtube video and bought your spreadsheet. Honestly I’m only looking for options trades and unfortunately the current investment holdings on the dashboard does not take into account any options. Just wondering if this is possible that is the whole reason I bought the spreadsheet. Wanted to see the current investment holdings change as I enter each trade so as to view.
    Thanks
    Ciaran

Saw your video regarding your spreadsheet … Does it run on Apple / Numbers ? Also was wondering if your able to plug in futures options data as well? … All of the examples are showing various stocks etc … seems logical that it should as you can plug in the symbol of choice … if not is it something that can be worked through.

Look forward to your lines … Thanks in Advance

Hi Matthew, unfortunately it will not run with numbers, excel is needed. The only viable work around at this time would be to operate your apple computer with windows via dual boot or virtually. With regard to futures, I believe it is entirely possible but this would require a custom solution. Feel free to reach me at jeff@optionboxer.com if you wish to discuss further.

Living in Australia, investing in markets around the world in many different currencies, but ultimately everything has to come back to AUD.

Can the Analyze and Journal Spreadsheet handle these things?

    Hi Jeff,

I am interested in the Analyse and Journal Spreadsheet.

I’m still using Windows 7 and I think the most recent version of Excel I can use on it is Excel 2016. I would have to purchase 2016. I am currently using Excel 2003 (try not to laugh).

What version of excel is your spreadsheet?

Hello Rob, Sorry for the delay. So long as excel supports RTD data and you have a thinkorswim account you can use the spreadsheet. I’m certain excel 2016 supports RTD and I believe as far back as early 2000’s as well. That said, please reach me at jeff@optionboxer.com if you have any trouble.

Jeff, am I reading it correctly that much of the OptionsBoxer functionality is dependent upon using the ThinkorSwim platform?
I primary trade futures, via NinjaTrader, sent to Interactive Brokers, but I’d like to investigate some options concepts. I’m well educated with options strategies, but inexperienced. Seems to always hurt my brain to follow the options breadcrumbs before and during the trades. Will futures & futures options be a problem for your solution? Thanks.

Hello Christopher, yes that is correct. The spreadsheet is fully functional with Thinkorswim running on Windows. IOS will require running windows virtually which isn’t great I know, but unfortunately Apple still doesn’t allow the data process to run. With regard to futures and futures options the spreadsheet was designed for equities and equity options so to use it for futures or futures options would require changing the formulas on most every page which as of now I wouldn’t have time to complete. If you decide you would like to purchase it, please reach out and I’ll send you the revised formula(for futures) along with a fully unlocked copy of the spreadsheet so that you can make any modifications you would like. Hope that helps.
      God bless,
      Jeff

Hi Jeff, I contacting you about the lack of functionality of the OptionBoxer sheet after Microsoft has blocked your Macros. I sent an email on Oct 29, 2022 with attached screen shots of the disabling of your Macros by Microsoft, but have not received a reply, so I’m following up. Please review the email sent to jeff@optionboxer.com. Thanks, Ken Lott

    Hello All,
I have viewed some of your youtube videos and appreciate them for my education in trading with options.
I would like to know if you have any recordings of Butterfly Strategy that I want to learn on SPX.
Also, when does one use Put or Call butterflies and positions in relation to a current price?
    thank you

      Hello,
Thanks for watching! Unfortunately I dont typically trade butterflies as a stand alone strategy. In the “Ratio Diagonal Spread” video i discuss their use as an adjustment but not as a single strategy.
      God bless,
      Jeff
