Great spreadsheet. As the wheel strategy often is done with dividend paying stocks, I wonder how valuable it would be to add a divided income option to the sheet to include div income in profit calculations.

You’re welcome! Sounds like you may have downloaded the Excel version which uses the stock data feature not available in some versions of Excel. I recreated the spreadsheet for Google sheets and its available on the “Free Trading Tools” page. Let me know if you have any trouble.

Hi Jeff. Thanks for this spreadsheet. It’s a great tool especially since I just started my wheel strategy. One thing, though. Where the ticker symbols would be I only have the words #VALUE!, and the same with the dropdown on the top of the sheet. How can I fix that? I have brought the spreadsheet into Google Sheets because of its GoogleFinance abilities, but it was the same way in Excel when I downloaded it. If you can help me with the Google Sheets, I’d appreciate it.

Hi Joe,
It’s difficult to know exactly what may be causing the error. If you want to send me a screenshot of what you’re seeing to jeff@optionboxer.com I’m happy to have a look. Alternatively, you may try visiting the “free trading tools” page and download the Google Sheets version. Excel has so many different versions it’s not always easy tracking down the exact issue.

Hi Jeff, I found you through Youtube and really like the look of this spreadsheet.
I’ve downloaded it, however the Company/ticker cells are all ‘UNKNOWN’ and when I click on the the drop down company/ticker cell within investment look up section I get the following error ‘That function is invalid’

I tried to change the helper formula to =UNIQUE(FILTER(B11:B307, B11:B307“”)) as you mentioned above, but no luck.

Any help would be great. Thank you

Hi Kim, this should be a quick fix. Copy/paste this formula into the cell.

=UNIQUE(FILTER(B11:B307, B11:B307<>“”))

Let me know if that doesn’t work.

Hi Jeff. Really appreciate the excellent Wheel Strategy Spreadsheet. But I’m having trouble using the Helper Columns to aggregate my various Tickers. Not sure if you are able to help or not but it just shows #VALUE! in all the company/ticker columns (4 of them). The Helper Column code shows: {=_xlfn.UNIQUE(_xlfn._xlws.FILTER(B11:B307,B11:B307″”))} I’m not well versed in Excel and all, and perhaps your spreadsheet isn’t compatible with my older version of Excel, but thought I would ask. It has everything I need and really hope to make it work. Thanks again!
