Description
The Value Average Tool is a powerful tool for maintaining a desired return on an investment. For instance, suppose you wanted to purchase Apple (AAPL) but you wanted to get the best possible price. The prevailing method for achieving that goal would be to average into a position over time. Moreover, this technique has proven itself effective for a great many traders but what it doesn’t help with is determining when to sell some of those shares and reduce exposure. That’s a problem in my opinion, because as we consistently build a position in our preferred asset we may be met at the top with the internet crash of 2000, the financial crash of 2008, or the next great depression of 202?. Therefore, knowing what to do and when to do it becomes extremely valuable.
Bring in the value average tool, a useful tool designed to take the guess work out of the investing process. Simply enter a desired return percentage, say 20%, and the tool will suggest the best course of action. Almost sounds silly we would even need such a thing but I ask you, is it easy to identify a market top or bottom? My answer is no, no its not. Thus, I’ve created this tool so that I know exactly when I should be loading up on shares or when I should be dumping them. Certainly wouldn’t be fun to build up that Apple position into hundreds of shares and thousands of dollars only to sit fearfully as the next crash zaps the portfolio value back in time.
